Interesting statistics that have been released by the HSE.
As we edge closer-and-closer to the New Year, we thought what better time than to reflect on the year that has passed; from the Royal Wedding to the highs and heartbreak of the World Cup in Russia through to the uncertainty of Brexit – we think think that you will all agree that 2018 will remain a topic of conversion for many years to come!
Sticking closer to our sector, we thought what better time than to share some interesting statistics that have been released by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
As many of you will know, the HSE publish annual statistics on health and safety in Great Britain – and the results may come as a big surprise. Most alarmingly, the HSE report that 30.7 million working days were lost due to work-related ill health and non-fatal workplace injuries in 2017/18.
What does all this mean? Well it is estimated that the annual cost in Britain alone for work-related injury and new cases of ill health is more than 15 billion. Here at Newcastle Premier Health we understand that businesses are under increasing pressure to maximise productivity and reduce costs, with sickness absence and work-related stress being a major obstacle.
So, how can we help? We believe that our Occupational Health service is not only a prudent option but helps to bring demonstrable cost benefits for your business and improves the health outcomes for your employees.
